What can I expect on my first visit to the Massage Therapist?

The Massage Therapist will complete the information gathered upon your arrival at the centre and if appropriate discuss with the other practitioners what treatment you have already received and your progress so far. The therapist will continue with an examination and request your consent to begin treatment.

Treatment will be conducted in a safe, warm and private environment. The type of treatment will depend upon:

  • The complaint or injury.
  • Your requirements, that is for therapeutic or relaxation purposes.
  • Whether it is before or after a sports event.

  • How much time is needed?

In order to fully address your concerns, the first consultation will need to be at least one hour. The time allowed for subsequent consultations will be dependant on the therapist’s findings and your needs.

    What do I bring?

  • Any referrals, x-rays and or reports that may be of relevance to the consultation.
  • Payment – cash, cheque or credit card. Hicaps is only available for this service with selected Health Funds. Please             check with your Health Fund.
  • If Hicaps is not available with your private health fund, a receipt will be given allowing you to claim this service.

  • If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact our office. We look forward to assisting you with your health concerns.
